The Boomerang Project
A $150 Million Bringback

$150 million dollars are leaving Palm Beach County each year? The newly launched Boomerang Project, supported by many community groups, can bring these dollars back to benefit local business, residents, workers, seniors, members of civic organizations and many other groups- and the local economy overall. Charities too will benefit since a portion of these savings will be distributed to County charities.

Where are these dollars now going? Local business spends almost $150 million dollars each year on coupons (Groupon alone  is expected to earn almost $3 billion this year). These dollars, going into the coffers of out-of-state "coupon giants," can now be brought back into the local economy.

How can this be done? The Palm Beach Council of Community Associations has developed innovative do-it-yourself templates that can virtually eliminate the tremendous cost (often 50% or more of the selling price) of using an out-of-state coupon company. These templates allow merchants to set up their own coupon programs FREE of charge in a dedicated “Coupon Center.” The savings in payments to the coupon companies can thereby be converted into not only reduced costs and increased revenues for  merchants but also discounts for consumers of at least  10%, and usually much more.

How can a business or consumer participate in this program? There are separate paths for businesses and consumers:

  • If you are a business wanting to participate in the Coupon Center, go to Coupon Center and follow the simple instructions.

Note: This will take less than five minutes.

  • If you are a consumer wanting a $avings Card, go to our list of “Approved Associations” and determine if you a member of any of the listed Associations. If so, you should request the card directly from your association. If your Association is not participating, ask an official to contact us, a very simple procedure that can be handled over the phone in a few minutes.
